How does it taste?
I came across the range while doing some research on dairy-free cheeses. I’ve toyed with the idea of going dairy-free for quite some time but because cheese is one of my favourite foods, I’m on a mission to find a good selection of non-dairy alternatives so that I can make the transition successfully.
I’ve seen a few recipes for cashew cheese but haven’t made it myself yet and now that I’ve come across these products I’m not sure I ever will. So far I’ve tried the Paleo Tumeric Cashew Cheese and it is absolutely to die for! It’s delicious spread on crusty bread, served alongside roasted vegetables (or eaten by the spoonful straight from the jar!). The cashews have been activated, which means they are soaked and then dehydrated at a low temperature. This increases their nutrient value and makes them easier to digest. Tumeric has been shown to have a bucketload load of health benefits. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may reduce the risk of dementia, heart disease and cancer.
Next I’d like to try the Paleo Philly Cashew Cheese as I’d love to find a healthier alternative to the regular cream cheese that my kids are addicted to.
