Vegetarian Party Food Ideas

It’s hard to believe that it’s that time of the year again. One minute we’re all cruising along and then the next minute it’s November and things are getting hectic as our social calendars fill up with numerous school/work/social events. Whether you’re hosting a soiree or you’re a guest who has been asked to bring along a plate, we thought we’d provide you with some inspiration for vegetarian party food that is sure to delight and impress your fellow revellers.

White Bean Artichoke Spread

Of course you can buy a great range of dips at the supermarket these days but why not wow your friends by going the extra mile and making your own. It really is super easy to do and they’re sure to appreciate the effort. The mix of beans and artichokes in this dip makes for a heavenly combo. You’ll find the recipe here.

Caramelised Onion Flatbreads

Caramelised onions are actually very easy to make and add an amazing flavour to any dish. In these flatbreads they’re teamed with cheese, pecans and pear. You could make the base from scratch or take a shortcut and use flatbread or pita bread instead. You’ll find the recipe here.

Crudite Cups

How cute are these crudite cups? Talk about maximum effect for minimum effort! These cups are sure to brighten up any table and they provide a lighter, healthier option to many traditional finger foods. You could use hummus for a dairy-free and vegan version.

Mezze Plate

We love this idea as there’s very little preparation involved. It’s really all about the assembly and making everything look pretty on the plate. Super easy, super delicious – perfect!

Tandoori Cauliflower Bites

We were served these at an event we attended some time ago and they were sublime. Cauliflower doesn’t have a huge amount of flavour but marinate it in tandoori spices and team it with a raita dipping sauce and it becomes a taste sensation. You’ll find the recipe here.

We hope you enjoy these ideas for vegetarian party food and we wish you a very happy silly season. As always, please remember to consume with care!
